Dried Mushroom Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average dried mushroom export price stood at $26,604 per ton in 2022, which is down by -3.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 41%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $29,407 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($33,967 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($11,998 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+58.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Mushroom Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average dried mushroom import price stood at $4,879 per ton in January 2022, which is down by -28.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2021 an increase of 30% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $6,834 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to January 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($17,820 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($2,527 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Dried Mushroom Exports in Russia
In 2022, overseas shipments of dried mushrooms and truffles decreased by -32.2% to 190 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, posted a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 203%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 281 tons, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, dried mushroom exports fell markedly to $5.1M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 224% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $7.7M, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
