Dried Grapes Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2022

The average dried grapes import price stood at $3,189 per ton in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($5,754 per ton), while the price for Chile ($2,346 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average dried grapes export price amounted to $4,783 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dried grapes export price increased by +62.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($7,187 per ton), while the average price for exports to Macao SAR ($3,992 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Dried grapes imports into Hong Kong SAR skyrocketed to 1.6K tons in 2022, with an increase of 19% on the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, faced a deep reduction.

In value terms, dried grapes imports soared to $5M in 2022. In general, imports, however, faced a deep downturn.
