Crude Maize Oil Price in France (FOB) - 2023
The average crude maize oil export price stood at $1,166 per ton in July 2023, declining by -6.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,792 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($1,688 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($865 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average crude maize oil import price amounted to $1,349 per ton, reducing by -16.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
