Cottonseed Price in India (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average cottonseed export price amounted to $4,658 per ton, waning by -6% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, posted a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 233%. The export price peaked at $8,529 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Myanmar ($17,518 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($305 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+46.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cottonseed Price in India (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average cottonseed import price amounted to $465 per ton, jumping by 58% against the previous year. Overall, the import price posted a modest expansion.
