Cocoa Butter Price in Slovakia (CIF) - 2023
The average cocoa butter import price stood at $6,057 per ton in July 2023, shrinking by -3.8% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.6% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, cocoa butter import price increased by +24.1% against February 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 78% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $7,203 per ton. From December 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($6,499 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($2,060 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cocoa Butter Price in Slovakia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average cocoa butter export price amounted to $27,173 per ton, with an increase of 83% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 113% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($52,300 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($13,154 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
