China (273M units) remains the largest bracelet producing country worldwide, comprising approx. 52% of total volume. Moreover, bracelet production in China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, the UK (80M units), threefold. Hong Kong SAR (31M units) ranked third in terms of total production with a 6% share.

In China, bracelet production expanded at an average annual rate of +8.0% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the UK (+33.6% per year) and Hong Kong SAR (-0.2% per year).

Exports By Country

China represented the key exporting country with an export of around 251M units, which finished at 59% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Hong Kong SAR (54M units), the UK (31M units) and the Netherlands (20M units), together creating a 25% share of total exports. The Czech Republic (11M units), the United Arab Emirates (7.4M units) and France (6.4M units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to bracelet exports from China stood at +11.8%. At the same time, the Czech Republic (+55.6%), the United Arab Emirates (+39.6%), the UK (+38.8%), the Netherlands (+26.3%) and France (+6.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Czech Republic emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +55.6% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Hong Kong SAR (-3.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+17 p.p.), the UK (+6.7 p.p.), the Netherlands (+3.8 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+2.6 p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Hong Kong SAR saw its share reduced by -26.6% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest bracelet supplying countries worldwide were China ($220M), France ($189M) and Hong Kong SAR ($113M), with a combined 53% share of global exports. The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, the UK and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 8.7%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, the Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +56.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average bracelet export price amounted to $2.3 per unit, waning by -16.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 9.6% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3.7 per unit. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
