Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Rwanda (X units) was the main destination for exports of domestic electro-thermic appliances other than heaters, dryers, irons, ovens, toasters and coffee machines from Uganda, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of domestic electro-thermic appliances other than heaters, dryers, irons, ovens, toasters and coffee machines to Rwanda exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Burundi (X units), threefold. Imports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of domestic electro-thermic appliances other than heaters, dryers, irons, ovens, toasters and coffee machines rose notably to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a slight expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X.
