From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to frozen whole fish exports from Namibia stood at X%. At the same time, Seychelles (X%) and Angola (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Seychelles emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in SADC, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Mauritius experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, South Africa (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Imports in SADC
For the third consecutive year, SADC recorded growth in purchases abroad of frozen whole fish, which increased by X% to X tons in 2023. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2023; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The purchases of the six major importers of frozen whole fish, namely Mauritius, South Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Mozambique and Seychelles, represented more than two-thirds of total import. Madagascar (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
