Mexico represented the key exporter of mobile phones in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports amounting to X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. The Dominican Republic (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Chile (X%) and Brazil (X%). Peru (X units) and Panama (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to mobile phone exports from Mexico stood at X%. At the same time, the Dominican Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Dominican Republic emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Peru experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Panama (X%), Chile (X%) and Brazil (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2023, mobile phone imports in Latin America and the Caribbean surged to X units, jumping by X% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country

Colombia (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Peru (X units), Paraguay (X units) and Chile (X units). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total imports.
