The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, cellulose fibrecement sheet exports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank markedly in the following year.

The Czech Republic was the major exporter of sheets, panels and tiles of cellulose fibrecement in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. Lithuania (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Poland (X tons) and Hungary (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Russia (X tons) and Ukraine (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.
The Czech Republic experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of sheets, panels and tiles of cellulose fibrecement. At the same time, Hungary (X%), Lithuania (X%) and Poland (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Ukraine (X%) and Russia (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Lithuania, Hungary and Poland increased by X, X and X percentage points, respectively.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in Eastern Europe
For the third year in a row, Eastern Europe recorded growth in supplies from abroad of sheets, panels and tiles of cellulose fibrecement, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
In value terms, cellulose fibrecement sheet imports reduced to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, leveling off in the following year.
Imports by Country
The purchases of the seven major importers of sheets, panels and tiles of cellulose fibrecement, namely Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Hungary and Romania, represented more than two-thirds of total import.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Estonia (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
