Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, frozen whole chicken exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports saw a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In 2021, overseas purchases of frozen whole chickens decreased by -X% to X tons, falling for the fifth consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports saw a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, frozen whole chicken imports totaled $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a deep slump. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
