The purchases of the four major importers of avocados, namely Japan, China, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong SAR, represented more than half of total import. It was distantly followed by South Korea (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons), together achieving a X% share of total imports. The following importers - Turkey (X tons), Palestine (X tons), Singapore (X tons), Kuwait (X tons), Malaysia (X tons) and Qatar (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Japan ($X), China ($X) and Hong Kong SAR ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for X% of total imports.
