Ghana (X p.p.), Mozambique (X p.p.), Namibia (X p.p.), Morocco (X p.p.) and Kenya (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Algeria and South Africa saw its share reduced by X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest medical or laboratory sterilizer importing markets in Africa were Morocco ($X), Algeria ($X) and Egypt ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. Ethiopia, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Mozambique, Uganda and Namibia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
