Sheep; Live Price in Kuwait (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average sheep; live import price amounted to $130 per unit, picking up by 7.3% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, sheep; live import price decreased by -9.5% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 53% against the previous year. Based on 2022 figures, sheep; live export price increased by +1.3% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $160 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 14%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $187M.
