Price for Copper; Waste and Scrap in Estonia (FOB) - 2023
The average copper; waste and scrap export price stood at $5,665 per ton in December 2023, falling by -17.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 29% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $7,473 per ton. From May 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Austria ($7,700 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($1,092 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+14.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 249% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in December 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Finland ($7,650 per ton), while the price for Romania ($5,751 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
