Price for Copper; Waste and Scrap in Estonia (FOB) - 2023

The average copper; waste and scrap export price stood at $5,665 per ton in December 2023, falling by -17.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 29% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $7,473 per ton. From May 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Austria ($7,700 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($1,092 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+14.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
