Commercial Printing Price in Peru (CIF) - 2021

In April 2020, the average commercial printing import price amounted to $5,663 per ton, waning by -41.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a dramatic descent. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $12,889 per ton. From February 2020 to April 2020, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Argentina ($22,500 per ton), while the price for China ($4,312 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2020 to April 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Argentina (+17.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average commercial printing export price stood at $4,819 per ton in 2022, reducing by -8.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 20%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,278 per ton, and then declined in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($10,901 per ton), while the average price for exports to Trinidad and Tobago ($1,631 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Commercial Printing Imports in Peru

In 2022, the amount of commercial printing (except screen and books) imported into Peru declined to 9.2K tons, reducing by -7.8% compared with 2021. In general, imports faced a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 7.3%.

In value terms, commercial printing imports contracted to $95M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 35%.
