Refrigerator And Freezer Exports

Exports in ECOWAS

In 2022, exports of refrigerators and freezers in ECOWAS totaled X units, approximately equating the previous year's figure. In general, exports, however, saw a pronounced reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, refrigerator and freezer exports rose significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Senegal represented the main exporting country with an export of about X units, which recorded X% of total exports. Togo (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Ghana (X units), Cote d'Ivoire (X units), Niger (X units), Burkina Faso (X units) and Sierra Leone (X units). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total exports.

Exports from Senegal increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Togo (X%), Burkina Faso (X%), Niger (X%) and Sierra Leone (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Togo emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in ECOWAS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022.
