Exports in CIS

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of sulphides, polysulphides, dithionites and sulphoxylates, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. In general, exports, however, saw a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, sulphides, dithionites and sulphoxylates exports expanded notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Russia (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) represented roughly X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), constituting a X% share of total exports. Belarus (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

Imports in CIS

In 2022, sulphides, dithionites and sulphoxylates imports in the CIS skyrocketed to X tons, growing by X% on 2021 figures. Total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
