Exports from China

In 2022, shipments abroad of wood-based panels decreased by X% to X cubic meters for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, saw modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X cubic meters, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, wood-based panels exports fell notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank notably in the following year.

The Philippines (X cubic meters), Japan (X cubic meters) and Vietnam (X cubic meters) were the main destinations of wood-based panels exports from China, together accounting for X% of total exports. The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the UK, the United States, Mexico, Taiwan (Chinese), Nigeria, Australia, Thailand and Canada lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
